Our Policy Toward Children
HEARTPEPPER site does not knowingly collect personally identifiable information from children under 13. HEARTPEPPER is primarily intended for young adults and older adults. Students under thirteen (13) years old must be registered by a parent or legal guardian.
The information we collect
The only information we collect is name and email id for those who optin to join the mailing list. We also ensure that we receive their consent after they optin. Other than this we do not collect any other personally identifiable information from our users.
We strictly do not sell, rent, share or exchange personal information to any third parties except for the reasons cited below: We may employ third party companies and individuals to facilitate the Site and the services available therein, to provide the services on our behalf and to perform services related to administration of the Site (“Service Providers”). For example, we may partner with other companies to fulfill an order, deliver promotional emails, bill you for products and services, or provide customer service. While providing services for us, these companies may access your personal information, and are required to use it solely as directed by us for the purpose of our requested service. These third parties have access to your Personal Information only to perform these tasks on our behalf and are obligated not to disclose or use it for any other purpose. Also, we do not send emails to users unless the user has given permission by opting to join the mailing list and we do not send spam mails.
Ability to Opt In and Opt Out
You have the right to “opt-in” and “opt-out” of our mailing list. You may choose not to receive any correspondence or newsletters from us. You may opt-out from receiving our correspondences or newsletters by following the unsubscribe link provided within each email communication We will endeavor to comply with your request as soon as reasonably practicable. Please note that if you opt-out as described above, we will not be able to remove your information completely from our databases or those of our third party service providers (i.e., to which we have already provided your optin data as of the date that we implement your opt-out request). See the section below titled “Sharing of Information with Third Parties” for further information on this. If you opt-out of receiving ongoing correspondence or newsletters from HEARTPEPPER we may still contact you in connection with your continued use of HEARTPEPPER service.
In line with standard industry practice adopted by most websites, we use basic log files and generic analytics data provided by services such as Google Analytics, Quantcast etc. This includes IP (Internet protocol) addresses, browser type, ISP (Internet service provider) referring/exit pages and platform type (Windows, Mac etc). This is not personal information and cannot be linked to any individual person. This analytics data is used for general assessment of web users trends, which search engines they are coming from, what browsers they are using, which key words they are using to arrive at the landing pages etc… This helps us to learn how to improve our offering even further to serve the needs of many of our users.
When you use our site, we or our authorized technology services provider may also collect certain technical and routing information from you to facilitate your use of the site and its services. We use this information to administer the site and to understand and measure traffic patterns on the site so that we know which areas of our site are favorites of our users, which areas need improvement, and what technologies are being used so that we may continually improve our site. This information is collected in aggregate form, without identifying you or any user individually. We may use this aggregate, non-identifying statistical data for statistical analysis, marketing, or similar promotional purposes. This data is often tracked by us or our technology services provider by using “cookies” during your visit. A cookie is small amount of data that is transferred to your browser by a web server and can only be read by the server that gave it to you. It functions as your identification card and enables us to record your passwords, purchases, and preferences. It cannot be executed as code or deliver viruses. Most browsers are initially set to accept cookies. You can set your browser to notify you when you receive a cookie, giving you the chance to decide whether or not to accept it.
